Company
1926 is not only the founding year of UMETA, but also the birth year of many personalities who significantly influenced political, historical and cultural world events.
Many events have shaped our company over the past decades. The UMETA chronicle shows important milestones from the foundation of the company to the relocation to Bielefeld, the expansion of export business and the development of modern manufacturing areas up to the present day.
The history page combines these stages with historical photographs from production, administration, trade fair appearances and everyday company life.
On the current page, Marilyn Monroe, Jerry Lewis, Chuck Berry, Siegfried Lenz, Miles Davis, Max von der Grün and Elizabeth II, among others, are listed as well-known personalities born in 1926.
